Business Development OfficerOur dynamic and rapidly expanding E-Waste Mart (Authorized Recycling company) is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Business Development Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities within existing and new markets. We are looking for a results-driven professional with a proven track record of creating long-term value for organizations, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including markets, trends, customers, partnerships, and services.
- Proactively seek and engage with key contacts within organizations to explore collaboration opportunities.
- Generate leads through various channels and conduct cold calls to prospective customers.
- Conduct face-to-face and phone meetings with clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions.
- Foster and cultivate strong relationships with customers/clients to enhance long-term partnerships.
- Develop a deep understanding of our products and services, advising others about them as needed.
- Think and work strategically, setting aims and objectives to improve and develop the business.
- Collaborate with marketing to discuss promotional strategy and activities.
- Liaise with finance, warehousing, and logistics departments as needed.
- Train and motivate team members, arranging external training where necessary.
- Plan and execute sales campaigns, creating and managing a sales pipeline.
- Negotiate pricing with customers and suppliers, contributing to business growth.
- Conduct sales forecasts and analyses, presenting findings to senior management/board of directors.
- Develop and implement business sales and marketing strategy.
- Stay informed about trends and changes in the business world.
- Actively seek ways to improve business operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge about E-Waste recycling is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of tenacity and drive to meet or exceed targets.
- Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills for effective communication..
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Proficient in IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets.
- Team player with collaborative approach.
- Decision-making skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve goals.
